Ms. Wheelchair America 2017 is chosen from all the 2016 state titleholders and will represent the Ms. Wheelchair America program across the United States.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:
•    Travel throughout America, advocating for individuals with disabilities, and serving as a role model to all members of society.
•    Help build  state programs where current programs do not exist and send a titleholder to Ms. Wheelchair America pageant.
•    Hold yourself to the highest standard of moral behavior at all times.
•    Conduct all business in a professional manner.
•    Meet with local and state political leaders, particularly the Mayor and the Governor.
•    Participate in fund raising activities to meet expenses accrued during her reign.
•    Participate in helping Ms. Wheelchair America, Inc. gain sponsorship from companies.
•    Actively seek speaking engagements and public appearances.
•    Assist in the recruitment of future contestants.
•    Keep commitments and be on time.
•    Develop a platform to raise awareness regarding the accomplishments of women in wheelchairs and all people with disabilities.
•    Be a role model for ALL people with disabilities.
•    Identify opportunities to meet with school children so they can better understand persons with disabilities.
•    Communicate with the Ms. Wheelchair America Executive Board of Directors.
•    Build a social media awareness of Ms. Wheelchair America.
•    Write newsletter update by 10th of each month.
•    Fill out an official appearance form before and after each appearance.
•    Be responsible, be proud, and have FUN!
•    Attend the next Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant.
